Surf School Lanzarote

The most experienced school in Europe

We know that surfing is fun and surf coaching an amazing profession but we also know that most surf schools and surf camps fall way short of the quality learning experience and care we provide our clients. Having fun is a serious business for us. This is Europe, and the Canary Islands,  most experienced school.

Coaching

We teach surfing to all levels, from beginners to advanced.

We have also set up a special longboard program, indeed, we have devised a great coaching system for longboard surfing lessons that works for you no matter what your level of surfing is. We coach all types of surfers and we ourselves ride all types of boards. We do know that many of you would like to know about longboarding, riding and gliding on 9’00” plus boards and its skills and techniques. Many people are attracted to long boarding due to its style and grace, and of course the ability to catch more waves with ease.

Instructors

Through over 30 years of experience we really know that qualifications and constant training is so very important, to us and to you. Our instructors at Surf School Lanzarote train and re-train, not only to ensure the quality and development of our coaching but also to ensure your safety as well. We are an International Surfing Association Registered ( I.S.A.)  school. The I.S.A. is the World governing body for Surfing and we also provide I.S.A. Instructor training courses in Sri Lanka.

Surf in Lanzarote

The surf in Lanzarote, and particularly the beach at Famara, have some of the most consistent conditions to be found in the Atlantic. Very few surf spots in the world can claim to have surf every day but this is one of the most important reasons for having our school at Famara. The 6K stretch of sandy beach at Playa de Famara gives us space, so we can always surf and coach surfing .We may also use the beaches of Playa de Canteria in Orzola and Playa de Garita in Arrieta. These are East coast beaches that work under different conditions. For a total respect of the local community we do not take you to the most serious reef breaks of our island.
